Submission Guidelines

Contributions should be in line with the following instructions

Contributors

We welcome unsolicited contributions from academics, practitioners, and researchers of international law. We particularly encourage submissions from Asia or on topics concerning Asia. 

 

All contributions should be sent to voicesasiansil@gmail.com.

 

Length

Contributions can be no more than 1500 words long. Occasionally, we may consider publishing longer contributions, either as one or in parts.

 

Language

Currently, we only accept contributions in English.

 

Mode of citation

The contributions should not contain footnotes. The references that are available on the internet should be hyperlinked and those unavailable should be put in parentheses. The headings and sub-headings should be put in bold and should be left unitalicized. Contributors should avoid longer quotes. Quotes should be put within double inverted commas. If used, quotes that are more than 40 words long should be put as a separate paragraph, and within a double inverted comma.

 

Font

Contributions should be in MS word format, Times New Roman, and 12 font. The lines should be single-spaced. The paragraphs should not be indented.

 

Short Bio

Contributors are requested to send a short bio of not more than 100 words.

Contributors are also requested to send in their social media handles (LinkedIn, X [Twitter], and Facebook) for appropriate tagging on social media announcements, if their essays are accepted for publication.

 

Review Process and Publication

All contributions are judged on their merit. All contributions are reviewed by the blog’s editorial team, and if accepted, may be published with editorial corrections or asked to revise it. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. Contributions must be submitted exclusively to AsianSIL Voices. Published contributions may be reposted on other platforms only with the permission of the Editors.

Contributions submitted will be acknowledged. Editorial decision on contributions may take a week to ten days, depending on the number of contributions we receive. If accepted, publication may take up to two weeks. However, priority is given to the contributions that are of immediate relevance.

All blog postings are publicized through the AsianSIL social media platforms. The authors are encouraged to publicize their posts after the publication.
